The crazy last few weeks and #Sotonmeetup!

The last few weeks have been somewhat crazy. There's been exams, meet ups and impromptu nights out, but finally we have reached the light at the end of the tunnel. University, rather scarily, is over for the year. One way or another, I've made it to the end. I guess now we just have to wait and see what the results are.

By far my biggest highlight of the last few weeks, was the amazing #sotonmeetup organised by the wonderful Alice and Amzy. You could not have asked for a lovelier set of hosts, or group to get together. The afternoon was perfectly filled with cocktails, great food and lots of chit chats. Pretty much everything needed for a great afternoon.

My rather massive haul.
And the goodie-bags! I have never ever come across a goodie bag so full of different things! There are definitely things that I'd never tried/have always wanted to try. Massive thank you to: Lylia RoseTeapigsLush, Little Forest SoapMiners Cosmetics & ELF Cosmetics to name a few! I'll definitely be trying everything out and letting you all know how it all is, and whether I suggest you get yourself to their outlets.

I'd love to say things get less hectic in the next few weeks now that exams are over, but unforunately not! Bear with me :)

Living it large at the Library.

It is possibly the busiest place on University at any given moment. The place at the every  most students feel that they have to be to get the full university experience. And that can land up costing you a considerably large part of your student loan*...

The worse thing is this isn't any one of the clubs on the strip. No, it's our library that seems to be the place to be. Our library is a huge expanse of books spread over at least four floors with endless corridors, but you cannot go to the library at the moment and expect to find a free computer, let alone a desk. Even at 3 in the morning...

All I can put it down to is that end-of-term/upcoming-exam fever. Everyone is avoiding working at home (lets be realistic, noone gets any work done when you have the other flatmates making noise and generally putting you off.....) or they've been dragged in by their group to practise for the countless presentations.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the library. It's too quiet, full of people, and after I got lost and couldn't get out, I don't particularly enjoy going back there.... But sometimes needs must!

*It has been known for library fines to be up to £150 across the year for late book returns. It wasn't me, but it happens. So make sure you get organised.

Exam time madness.

Things have been rather hectic in the last few weeks. We've finally hit the dreaded exam period and its safe to say I (along with every other student in the world) seem to spend every waking moment attempting to revise - attempting being the operative word right there, everything seems to distract me...

I'm the poor soul that has 6 exams. The most in the house of 11. Which is meaning I have a hell of alot of revision to cover over a three week period and we all know that revision is the most tedious thing that you will ever have to do. It's rather akin to watching paint dry, but it is totally necessary. So stick with me, I'll be back to posting regularly, I just need to get the last few exams done.
